How to organize air freight from China to Australia ?

Hello everyone, this is Robert from DAKA International Transport Company. Our business is international shipping service from China to Australia by sea and air.

Today we talk about how to organize air freight from China to Australia. There are two ways of air freight from China to Australia. One way is to book space directly with airline company. Another way is to ship by express like DHL or Fedex.

if your cargo has more than 200 kgs, we would suggest you to book space with airline company directly. It would be cheaper. When you ship with airline company, you would need a shipping agent like our company. Because airline company is only responsible for from airport to airport. You need a shipping agent to handle customs clearance in both China and Australia and deliver the cargo to Chinese airport and pick up the cargo from Australian airport after airplane arrive.

If your cargo has about 1 kg or 10 kgs, we would suggest you to ship by express which is much easier. As a Chinese freight forwarder, we ship a lot of cargo by express from China to Australia daily so we have very good contracting rate with DHL or Fedex. So if you let us ship by express for you, you can save the trouble to open an account with DHL/Fedex. Also you can enjoy a cheaper express sipping rate.

When we ship by air, we charge on the volume weight and actual weight whichever is larger. Take shipping by express for example, one CBM is equal to 200 kgs. If the weight of your cargo is 50 kgs and the volume is 0.1 cubic meter, the volume weight is 20 kgs (0.1 *200=20).  The chargeable weight will be according to the actual weight which is 50 kgs. If your cargo is 50 kgs but the volume is 0.3 cubic meter, the volume weight would be 60 kgs ( 0.3*200=60 ). The chargeable weight will be according to the volume weight which is 60 kgs.
